Today was released the new version of program dude from the Latvian company mikroTik, which noted for its hardware and program net solutions. This is small and free (in contrast to other products) utility, which is been, in the essence, application for monitoring of net activity. However, the possibilities of program are not limited on this. Its basic purpose of – to compile the plan of the existing network in different interpretations, beginning from the simple list, and concluding by detailed map taking into account the specific locality. It automatically scan the assigned net range, in the local network or Internet and will derive the accessible list of discovered devices. Depending on possibilities last, will be also given out detailed information and individual classification . Thus, it will be possible to obtain actual idea about the existing architecture and structure of network. Only minus is, of course, strictly the ability of very participants in the network to give to reveal itself. This first of all concerns the unguided switchboards, which unite separate segments. Is possible separate monitoring with the aid of services SNMP, ICMP, DNS and TCP, if certainly there is a corresponding support.
